This is what
the world
needs.
“Energy is part of us; we live off the technology it brings. We work at high intensity using devices that energize us — but what do we do with them afterwards?
Energy Source wants to change this reality. With our technology, we reuse, refurbish, repair and recycle what would cause our self-destruction. We transform waste into energy to defend the future, reach new discoveries, expand sustainability and change the world.
This is our energy. It is what our world needs.”

The world produced
the problem.
We produce
the solution.
"Each of us produced nearly 8.3 kg of electronic waste per year." — The mass of the problem grows with the technological acceleration we live in.
Each inhabitant of the planet generates almost 8.3 kg of electronic waste annually — including the batteries that power devices, vehicles and energy systems.
Almost 2 billion tonnes of electronic waste produced globally per year — most without proper destination, contaminating soils and groundwater.
The country ranks fifth globally in e-waste generation — and more than 1 in 5 Brazilian municipalities have contaminated water resources.
Half of Latin American soils show some degree of degradation — impacting food security, water resources and regional biodiversity.
An initiative
to change
the world.
Energy Source was born in 2016 in São João da Boa Vista, interior of São Paulo, with a radical premise: e-waste is not a destination — it is raw material.
We started with the reuse of lithium-ion batteries, at a time when the market discarded them as worthless waste. In 2021 we patented our recycling process; in 2022 we opened the Battery Repair Workshop, the first Renault-authorized unit in Brazil; and in 2023 we installed the industrial hydrometallurgy plant and the Quero Reciclar reverse logistics platform.
This path consolidated us as the first company in the world to operate the complete cycle of the 4 R's for lithium-ion batteries — Reverse logistics, Repair, Reuse, Recycle — and as Latin America's best case according to the World Circular Economy Forum in 2025.
Today we operate in 4,900 m² with ISO 14001 certification, solar energy and rainwater harvesting, serving automakers like Renault, JLR, Volvo, BMW, Audi and partners like Apple, Samsung, Bosch, Mitsui and Itochu. A mission that has not changed since day one: turn waste into energy to defend the future.
A decade
of pioneering.
Energy Source begins operations in São João da Boa Vista (SP) focused on the reuse of lithium-ion batteries — completing a cycle the market treated as disposal.
Start of the patented recycling process with proprietary technology for safe decharacterization and Black Mass extraction.
Start of repair operations for electric vehicle batteries. Inauguration of BRW — Battery Repair Workshop, the first Renault-authorized unit in Brazil.
Year of consolidation as the 1st company in the world to operate the complete 4 R's cycle for lithium-ion batteries. Launch of Quero Reciclar platform, installation of the industrial hydrometallurgy plant at scale (4,900 m²) and ISO 14001 certification.
Announcement of Jaguar Land Rover's investment and start of the internationalization process with expansion to Europe and the United Kingdom.
World Circular Economy Forum recognizes Energy Source as the region's best case, among initiatives from over 80 countries. 1,200 tonnes recycled, 60 batteries repaired with 100% efficiency, 10 MWh of second life.
Circularity
in real numbers.
Volume operated by Energy Source since January 2025 — critical metals recovered, batteries repaired, second life delivered and environmental impact avoided per kilo of battery entering our chain.
Lithium, cobalt, nickel, manganese, graphite, copper and aluminum returned to the productive chain.
Modules selected by proprietary algorithm and re-deployed at charging stations and stationary applications.
Diagnosis and multibrand repair of EV battery packs — no technical returns to date.
Movements tracked by the reverse logistics platform, from origin point to industrial plant.
Equivalent mass of waste that did not go to landfill or improper destination (13 kg per kg of battery).
Equivalent volume of landfill space not occupied thanks to material reintegration (1.42 m³ per kg).
Volume of drinking water saved by avoiding virgin raw material extraction for new manufacturing (0.012 m³ per kg).
Equivalent energy saved through full material recovery and second-life operation (0.94 kWh per kg).
