Concerned with making it possible and contributing to the acceleration of electric mobility in Brazil, Energy has been standing out in this market.
On Friday, May 20, 2022, the “Matchmaking Supply and Demand: Strategic meeting to accelerate investments in electric buses in Brazil” took place in São Paulo, and we were invited to participate. The event was an initiative of the Inclusive, Sustainable and Smart Cities Program (CISI) , organized by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the National Electric Mobility Platform (PNME), with institutional support from the Municipal Secretariat for International Relations of the City of São Paulo (SMRI), the Instituto Clima e Sociedade (ICS) ) and the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES).
David Noronha, CEO and Co-Founder and Douglas Luciano - Head of New Business, were Energy's representatives at this meeting, which brought together 72 authorities and leaders in the area of electromobility in Brazil, including decision-makers from public authorities, financial institutions and industry members. manufacturing of buses and their components, such as parts, electric motors, batteries, charging infrastructure and electricity.
The aim was to bring together key players in this niche to discuss the potential of implementing electric buses, initially in the city of São Paulo, as well as identifying the biggest challenges and solutions.
The points raised and structured in this productive meeting will be part of a work agenda, scheduled to be launched in the second half of 2022.
